Riding tips to make your motorcycle trip enjoyable

Every biker knows how important it is to feel comfortable while riding. When something feels wrong, you will feel distracted and a second is enough to cause an accident. When you decide to go on a long ride you want to take every precaution so your ride will be enjoyable. Here are some great riding trips for you:

  • Take enough clothes. When you ride a motorcycle you will sometimes feel cold, no matter what the temperature is when you start. You will need more than a t-shirt and a pair of pants, not to mention that this is not safe. Take an extra hoodie or sweater to wear under your leathers; you can always remove them if you get too hot. Pack some kind of rain gear in the event you encounter rain.
  • Make sure you have warm riding gloves. These will not only keep your hands warm and dry but reduce the chance of blisters. Proper motorcycle gloves will give you the protection you need. There are even models that can be plugged in to your bike to provide electric heat.
  • Update your playlist. If you have to ride for more than a few hours, you may wish you had some good riding music to accompany you on the trip. There are headphones with mics to talk to your passenger. When you speak, the music is suspended. If you are in traffic, make sure that the volume is low so you can hear the vehicles around you.
  • Don’t take too many bags. There are carriers and saddlebags which attach to bikes. Learn how to pack light and take only the essentials. This doesn’t apply if you are going to be pulling a bike trailer which is designed to carry heavier loads and camping gear as well.
