A Quick View at Some American Bikes

Japan and Italy may be tough competitions, but there are some world class bikes made right here on the American soil. Here are some of them.

Brammo Empulse R – You might grimace at the thought of owning an electric motorcycle. However, tryout this splendid motorcycle from Brammo and you may end up having a completely different opinion about them. First of all, the handling of the bike and the feel you get while sitting on this lightweight machine is definitely better than the traditional combustion bikes. You will be surprised to know that this light bike can top at the speed of 100 mph.

Zero FX – Zero Electrics have been supplying the electric bikes to the retailers since 2009. However, in all honesty, these American made bikes had not been even close to the quality standards delivered by some of the alien machines. Forget the looks, even the components were of quite substandard quality. However, things seem to have turned around completely with their newest model Zero FX. This really lightweight bike can zip through the streets as if it is a fly. The little machine accelerates to 90 mph in no time.

Erik Buell Racing 1190RS - If you are thinking about a track motorcycle then perhaps now is the time to stop drooling over the Hondas and Ducatis of the world. Here we have an American indigenous which is capable of beating its competitors by far. This bike definitely is one of the best superbikes of US. The good news is that an Indian company, Hero Motor Corp, is making some fresh investments into the company. So we can expect some new bikes from company in the coming time.
