Michigan – Auction of 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon Raises $14,700 for Charity

The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is one of the rarest vehicles as only 3000 cars were made. The auto manufacturer asked a few dealerships to ensure that they sell the car below or at the sticker price of $89,000 to real enthusiasts who loves to drive it and not to collectors who want to store the car away, or flip it for a profit.

The 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon is an 840-hp streetcar powered by a Supercharged 6.2L HEMI SRT Demon V8 engine, with torque Reserve Launch System, and a functional Air-Grabber Hood Scoop. It is the fastest streetcar, and it comes ready for racing with 315/40R18 Nitto NT05R drag radial tires, and many more features that make it the best streetcar to hit the roads.

The Auction

Bill Marsh Auto, a dealer in Traverse City in Michigan, promised the manufacturer to sell the car $1 below that sticker price and decided to hold an auction where interested buyers would bid for the rights to buy the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. Eligibility for the bid was that you must have bought at least three cars from Bill Marsh Auto, and the auction had 40 participants.

Ted Parrott won the rights to buy the car after outbidding the other bidders and paid $14,700. The money raised will go to four charities, Father Fred Foundation, The T.C Patriot Game, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Michigan, and Toys for Tots. To the amount paid by Mr. Ted Parrott, one of the bidders who lost decided to chip in $2,000 in aid of the charities.

Speaking to the press, Mr. Parrott said that he had not come to the auction to win, but his love for cars prompted him to be part of the auction. On the other hand, Bill Marsh Jr. terms the auction as a great way to celebrate a unique car and share the enthusiasm with organizations committed to the development of the Grand Traverse region.
