2015 BMW M5

The most important part of every BMW is its engine! A BMW M5 is powered by 4.4 liters, twin-turbocharged V8. This engine produces 560 HP at 6000-7000 rpms and 502 lb-ft. of torque (from 1.500 rpms). This power unit is very compact. The power is sent to the back wheels through 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Customers can choose and 6-speed manual transmission. The BMW M5, with automatic transmission, sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds. Top speed is, as usual, limited at 155 mph. This model has much better fuel efficiency than the previous model, due to numerous Efficient Dynamics systems (start/stop, brake energy regeneration and etc.). According to the factory statement, M5 has a fuel economy of 20 mpg on highway and 14 mpg in the city.

The M5 has aggressive front and rear bumpers, side skirts and spoiler mounted on the trunk. It has a 19 inch alloy wheel that look really good. Inside, the situation is also very good. It has enough space for 5 passengers. At front dominates a touch screen. This model has the latest Connected Drive infotainment system. Passengers can surf the internet, change climate controls and change radio station using the touch screen, car’s voice control system or use iDrive knob, located near the gear selector. Into the iDrive controller is integrated touchpad.

The customers may improve their car with more equipment. They can have: a night vision, 20 inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a head up display, a better stereo system, an entertainment system for passengers on rear seats, carbon ceramic brakes and Enhanced USB & Bluetooth plus Smartphone Integration. The starting price is £93.600. The main rivals are: Cadillac CTS-V, Audi S6, Mercedes E63 AMG and Jaguar XFR-S.
