Stella Lux: A family car on solar batteries

The most interesting family car is called Stella Lux. It has been designed by team Solar Team Eindhoven. This team is made from 21 students from the Technical University of Eindhoven. The car is very different and very unique. It offers enough space for 4 people. The top speed is 125 km/h, so it is much faster than most electric cars. The best fact about this car is its radius. It can travel 1.000 kilometers.

The weight of the car is very low. It is just 375 kg. This is possible thanks to usage of aluminum and carbon fiber. You should know that carbon fiber is a very strong and light material. All sports cars are made from this material. An interesting fact is the navigation system. It can show you the route where the weather conditions are the best, because you need sunlight to charge the battery.
This car will participate in the race in October, this year. The race is 3.000 kilometers long. So, if it can travel 3.000 kilometers, it is a useful car. We believe that the car will be able to finish the race.

The biggest and the most important part of this car is its design. It is very low and it doesn’t look like conventional cars. On the other hand, it may look amazing for some people.
This is just one of many projects that can save the environment. The goal is to promote electric cars. The more we use them, the healthier environment will be. All electric cars don’t make any pollution, so they are much better alternative than petrol powered cars.
